L’espèce explosive

In rural northeastern France, an invasion of wild boars ravaging fields and crops sparks an open war between hunters and farmers: The owner of a hunting lodge is found dead, and a farmer vanishes without a trace. A year later, a Corsican police officer who has his own psychological problems and was transferred to the region as a disciplinary measure, reopens the case. Working alongside an unconventional psychologist, he uncovers a larger conspiracy. This is a fast-paced, absurd and dark blend of genre that connects crime, black humor, sexual desire and psychoanalysis to tell the story of a broken society on the brink of collapse. (bik)
